Written by Mike

Breaking News... Last night at the Dice Summit Todd Howard went on stage to discuss Fallout 4 and apparently talk about the future of their studio. He let it be known that Bethesda Game Studios is now a three team studio which is a major change from their one team studio that has made their last few games. Many have assumed that Elder Scrolls 6 will be announced at E3 2016 and this may have helped to confirm those rumors.

The Walking Dead Michonne release date

Written by Damien

Telltale has announced today that the first spin-off episode of their wildly popular Walking Dead, the Michonne Mini-Series, will be debuting February 23, 2015. In the first episode you will be accompanying Michonne and other members of her camp, including Pete and his crew, on the ship of the companion. In the first of this 3-part mini-series you will be searching for supplies and signals of life. A signal for help brings them to the scene of a massacre. Following that, the crew are then led to the survivors' colony of Monroe; a place that may hold the answers they're looking for... if they're lucky.

Instead of going the smart route and using actress Danai Gurira, Telltale will be using Orange is the New Black's Samira Wiley to play Michonne. The first episode will drop in February with the remaining two dropping in March and April respectively. If you can’t hold out, you can pick up all 3 episodes at once by downloading them as a season for $15 - or about $5 a piece.

And if you can't wait to see the game, Telltale will be streaming the game ahead of its release. There will be an exclusive preview of the first episode this Sunday, February 14, at 8:30pm EST/ 5:30pm PST on the Telltale Games YouTube channel.

Playstation Japan announced just announced that the vertical shooter Downwell will be coming to Japanese systems sometime in 2016. The announcement was made in a sizzle reel featuring several other indie titles such as No Man's Sky, Unravel, and Goat Simulator. Unfortunately no Western release date or confirmation has been made yet.

Downwell was created by Japanese game developer Ojiro Fumoto the game was originally released back in October of 2015 for ios and PC. It saw its debut on Android devices in November.

All of this comes as no surprise since Ojiro Fumoto teased us about Vitas potential back in December

So what do you think? Or are you just flat out waiting for a Western release? Let us know Here!!

The Division Open Beta

Written by Damien

Ubisoft announced that they will be granting exclusive beta access to everyone for the hotly anticipated The Division. The open beta will begin first on XBOX One starting February 18th with PS4 and PC following the day after, February 19th. Please be advised that the beta will be closing it's doors on the 21st. You can also begin preloading the beta on February 16th.

According to the development team, the cheating issues that were present in PC version of the closed beta have mostly been fixed. They are working tirelessly so that they should all be fixed by the time the game launches March 8th. This open beta of course gives them more time to check for issues and fix them accordingly.

If you've already participated in the closed beta and are wondering what is new this time around Ubisoft has announced a new story mission that wasn't previously available. In further news, if you participate in the open beta you will receive a special in-game gift when the game releases.

So does this news excite you? Have you gotten in on the closed beta that was released previously? Let us know by sounding off on our Twitter. We would love to hear from you.

Mini Mario & Friends Challenge Launches in Japan

Written by Damien

A new Mario game has been announced, while not the game many of us were hoping to hear about. A spiritual successor in the vein of the Mario VS Donkey Kong Series, Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Challenge has been announced for Wii U and 3DS. At the time of writing, this announcement is currently only planned for Japan.

Releasing January 28th this game, like Mario VS Donkey Kong before it, will see you getting mini Mario's or whomever (using any one of the various Mario Amiibo's will unlock all the characters as mini dolls) to make it from the start of the level to the end. A la Lemmings. You can also use any of the available amiibos to unlock character specific levels or use them as what the developers calls ‘Mini Spec'.

As it stands right now this game has yet to be announced outside of Japan. But something tells me this game will coming to the states before year end. Below is a video and at about around the 1:00 mark they begin to talk about Mini Mario & Friends.

So what do you think? Tired of Amiibo? Excited for a new entry in the Mario VS Donkey Kong series? Sound off at our Twitter we want to hear from you!! SkyeMatrixGaming

NX What is in the box?

Written by Damien

Taken from GFK (A Client of Nintendo) and posted on twitter by Liam Robertson or Doctor_Cupcakes on Twitter. This rumor or posting (which should be taken with the tiniest grain of salt.) shows us what we can expect from the NX when it launches.

According to the posting above it appears Nintendo will be stepping up their game as the NX is rumored to support 4K/60fps video streaming. However it should be noted that according to the posting the NX won't run higher gameplay graphics then 900p/60fps. If this does happen to be the case I wonder why Nintendo wouldn't go the full 1080 route. Is it to be more cost effective? As far as what is in the system you can see the absence of the handheld (unless the NX console speaks for both pieces of hardware.) we also see the absence of any sort of power adapter which makes me wonder how the hell are you going to run the system with no power? Again this is clearly a rumor and until Nintendo speaks up rumors are all we have to go on at this point.

So what do you think, is this really what's going to be in the box? Will 900p/60fps hurt Nintendo as they try to catch up to this generation? Sound off on our Twitter we want to hear from you.
